The only reason that I can think of is that you want to communicate with a person who is not familiar with the English system - football rules measure the field in yards or feet, so square meters is an unnatural measure for them.
The length of an object, the distance between two points, and the height of something are all commonly measured in meters.
Probably 12. (Most tracks around football fields are 440 meters = 1/4 mile).
Since the dimensions of a standard football field are 105 x 68m, and a football field is a rectangle, then 105 + 68 + 105 + 68 = 346, so the perimeter is 346m.
A ball thrown across a football field is an example of a projectile.
An American football field is 109.7 m by 48.8 m.

The average football field measures 100 yards long and is 5400 square meters in size. In that amount of space, a person may find over 10,000 dandelions.
300 feet equates to 91.44 meters.
