etc.
Each pair adds to 1,001.
There are 500 pairs.
The total is (500 x 1,001) = 500,500

They can be: 11 plus 41 = 52
You can use Excel or another spreadsheet to do the calculations. Put the numbers 1, 2, 3, ... in one column, the numbers 2, 3, 4, ... in the second column, and the product (for example, "=A1 * B1") in the third. Then add it all up. There might be a shortcut to do this kind of calculation, but I don't know of any.
The sume of the measures of the three nagles of an acute triangle (or any triangle) is 180 degrees.
