I would need more detailon your question but what i can tell you is 100' of #10 THHN eire is 8320grams with insulation and 7110 grams as bear copper wire. Now what i am trying to figure out is if that copper wire is 100% copper or not?

Not sure what you mean by "gas" rated wire. If you mean "gasoline resistant" you probably have type THHN wire insulation. Size #8 THHN is not suitable for a 60 amp application anywhere.
#8 aluminum thhn 90 degree wire is rated at 30 amps. Remember to de-rate the wire for more that three conductors in a raceway and the second de-rate for the ambient temperature. Most students miss the de-rate for more that three conductors in a raceway.
