It depends on what you want the perimeter of? But in general:

*for a circle: 2*pi*r

where pi is about 3.1415927 and r is the radius of the circle

*for an equilateral polygon (one which has equal lengths): number of sides * length

example: a square with one side of length 5 meters has 4(sides)x5 meters = 20 meters

*for a polygon (of any length sides): 2*n*r*sin(pi/n)

where n is the number of sides and r the distance distance between the center of the polygon and one of the verticies. Notice that for an equilateral polygon the polygon formula should reduce to the same answer. Try it for a square and see what you get!
