There were numerous breweries producing beer cans starting in 1934. The earliest cans were flat tops that required a can opener and had opening instructions on the side panel. Beginning in 1935 a cone top beer can design was also produced. Any can made during the 1930's will have the term Internal Revenue Tax Paidsomewhere on the can.

Overall there were 1000's of different beer cans being produced by 1936. The value of any such can will range from $50 to $5000+ depending on the actual can and the condition. The condition is very important and minor flaws affect the value significantly.

I've been collecting U.S. beer cans and breweriana for almost 30 years. If you wish to learn more about old beer cans, see the link, further down this page, listed under "Related Links."
