theres a wire that is attached to the hook that keeps your hood down, if you can see that wire good. now let me tell you: i have a 92 civic, what i do is pull that metalic wire to left away from the hook and it releases the hood. My wire is connected to the hook but not to the release button inside the car. so if your wire is still connected at both ends you might have more trouble opening your hood.

The fuse of the red wire needs to be attached to the 'plus' terminal of car battery. The brown wire needs to go to the siren of the car, the yellow wire to the 'plus' of car ignition, the black needs to be attached to the hood as ground, purple wire with 'minus' of dome light, green wire with 'plus' of dome light, blue wire with the sensor pins and orange wire with the hood.
