The unit for a circumference is the same as the unit for length (or radius or diameter).

The dip of a unit represents what?

The dip of a unit represents the angle at which the bed inclines from the horizontal. In dip-slip faults, the fault blocks move up and down, parallel to the dip of the fault plane.

What is solkor r?

solkor r is a form of unit (cable, switch, transformer etc) protection for high voltage systems and works by sensing a voltage inbalance between either end of the unit (using current transformers and summation transformers) by doing this it will sense a fault in its own unit and isolate the fault, it will not however sense a fault flowing through it from another unit and therefore maintaining a supply. especially useful in ring systems.

How might a geologist use relative dating to determine when the fault occured?

The Law of Cross-Cutting Relationships would be used here. If a fault cuts across a rock unit, it is younger than that rock unit. If a fault cuts across a series of rocks, but suddenly stops at a rock unit, then that rock unit which the fault stops at is younger than the fault. So let's say the order of rocks (from top to bottom), is A B C D. If the fault cuts across B C and D, but not A, then the age of the fault is sometime between A and B. If you know the absolute ages of A and B (let's say, rock A is 100 million years old and rock B is 200 million years old), then the age of the faulting is between 100 and 200 million years ago.

How do you check if a gas range with electrical sparkle system and oven light is grounded?

Safest way if you don't know much about electrics is to have it checked by a tradesman, if you do know about electrics, then turn off the power to the sockets/power outlets and check where the cable comes from the wall to check if the earth wire is connected and then do the same with the back of the cooker where the wires connect, if the cooker is pre-wired (where the wire is direct into the cooker) then you would need an engineer to dismantle the unit to check. If the electric is just to power the spark and a light then it maybe on a regular power outlet with a plug. If you suspect a fault then it is best to have it checked by a qualified tradesman.
