Different people find different thinks simple or complex. What you may find complex may seem simple to me and conversely. So there is no simple answer to the question.

There are, however, the seven Millennium Prize Problems identified by the Clay Mathematics Institute of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The seven problems were announced at a meeting in Paris on 24 May 2000 along with a prize of 1 million US dollars for solving any one of them. But be warned, the Riemann Hypothesis was formulated in 1859 and was identified as a major mathematical problem in 1900 by the noted mathematician David Hilbert.
