I recently had this problem with my 1998 Dodge Ram 2wd w5.2l, It would start right up and after a couple of minutes would idle very rough and then you could hear the idle control motor opening up making a loud wooshing sound, then it would close idle up then back down. This would happen about 3 cycles, before going away in about five minutes from start up. If I would drive before the cycle ended I would experience poor mid range throttle response along with back firing out the intake. I presented this to the dealer who was clue less about this complaint. So being mechanically inclined I borowed a scan tool and found the primary (before the catalist) 02 sensor was reading abnormally, and staying in the rich (.9-1.5v) range. I replaced the sensor and the truck is back to normal
It might be your head gasket. Head gaskets are a huge problem in Dodge Neons.
If the 1996 Dodge Intrepid will not start, there might be an issue with the battery or the starter. This could also be a problem with the solenoid or the fuel gauge or fuel pump. The problem and the fix will vary depending on whether the car is completely dead or is cranking when the ignition is turned.
The Dodge Stratus might not start because the battery is dead or the starter is worn or damaged. It might not start because it is out of gas or because the fuel line has water or air in it.
Check the dimmer knob. If that isn't it. Check your fuse. Might not be the problem, but it's a place to start
its not getting eough gas. check the gas lines and the fuel pump. it might be a sencer.
A: YES it can to a point but as speed of surges increases the capacitor will start to behave like a coil
Your 1993 Dodge Caravan might start sometimes and not start other times because of a bad starter or solenoid. You might also have a weak battery or a charging system that is not working correctly. This could also be an issue with the distributor.
Start with checking the fuses.
need more information to narrow down the problem.
i hit he curb and put a hole in the oil pan ,i replace the oil pan now the engine cranks but doent start. what could be the problem
The wait to start light on a 92 Dodge Diesel truck can be caused by a lack of fuel to the engine. It can also be caused by a wiring problem.
water in the tank.. I'm dealing with the same problem right now. you can buy water remover from an auto parts store and replace the fuel filter.
