My guess is 10.
This is how I figured it out: If you start with 2, and skip every other number you find this sequence 2,4,6,8, so the next one would be ten if counting by two's. Now do the same & start with 1. Skipping every other number you find this sequence 1,3,6,10. This sequence is +2, then +3, then +4, and so on. So the next one would +5 or 15. Using all of this the sequence would now look like this:
2,1,4,3,6,6,8,10,10,15,12,21,....and so on.
