The common factors are: 1, 2, 4
1?
1
1 and 2.
Easy, 24 It is 1, 2 and 4.
2 and 1
100 divided by 8 equals 12 with a remainder of 4.
12 cannot go into 107 because 107 is a prime number. but, 12 goes into 108 9 times
The smallest number that 8 or 12 or 20 will all go in to is 120 120 = 20 x 6 = 12 x 10 = 8 x 15 as there is then no number that goes into 6 and 10 and 15 equally.
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24.
It goes: 44/12 = 3 times with a remainder of 8
It's difficult to explain, but I'll try. You have to find out the amount of times the denominator (bottom number) goes into the numerator (top number) that will give you the whole number part for a mixed numeral. You then get the remaining fraction and you put it next to your whole number. For example: 12/8, 8 goes into twelve once so now you have a 1, 4/8 is your remainder (what is left). You put that next to your whole number, and now you have 1 4/8, therefore, 12/8=1 4/8.
