For these types of math problems there is an easy to remember mnemonic device. It is: King Henry Doesn't Usually Drink Chocolate Milk.
K= kilo
H=hecto
D=deka
U=unit
D=deci
C=centi
M=milli
With this device there is no need to multiply or divide. For example, if you had 39 kilograms and you wanted to convert it into milligrams then you would see how many prefixes there are until milli. In this case, there are 6 prefixes to get to milli. Then you would move the decimal point 6 places to the the right because milli is smaller than kilo. So your answer would be 39,000,000 milligrams. You have to remember that although you are only moving decimal places, you are still multiplying and dividing.
Multiply liters by 0.1 to get decaliters.
divide by 1000 1 kg = 1000 grams 1 gram = 0.001 kg
3510
Multiply any number with 0, you get 0.
To change meters to decimeters, you should multiply the number of meters by 10, as there are 10 decimeters in one meter.
Multiply liters by 0.1 to get decaliters.
A+LS Multiply
divide by 1000 1 kg = 1000 grams 1 gram = 0.001 kg
Yes.
10
3510
Well, since 1,000g(grams) equals 1 kilogram, multiply 8 x 1,000. Your product should equal 8,000
Multiply any number with 0, you get 0.
Kilogram is the metric unit and pound is the imperial unit for mass. 1 Kilogram is 2.204 pounds. So we multiply kg by 2.204 to get the equivalent pounds. Answer in pounds is equal to 24.240811 kg = 24.2508 lb
To change meters to decimeters, you should multiply the number of meters by 10, as there are 10 decimeters in one meter.
So the mix number can be 2 4/6 (2 is the whole number. 4 is the Numinator and the 6 is the denominator) So Then you multiply the whole number (2) by the denominator(6) Once you multiply your answer should be 12. Then With the answer your got (12) you add 12 plus the Numinator (4) 12+4=16 Then your answer in fraction is 16/6
Multiply the answer to the problem by the number that you are dividing by. (e.g. 18/2=9 Check it with 9*2=18)
