36 point for one-half inch (therefore, 72 point for one inch, 18 point for one-quarter inch, and so on) Thirty-six point type is NOT one-half inch high! The "point size" of type is a very old historical measurement. It's based on handset metal type. A long time ago, type wasn't set with machines. Typesetters worked at tables that had two type cases on them: the "upper case" contained the capital letters, the "lower case" contained the minuscules. In these cases were huge numbers of small metal blocks, each with a letter molded into the top of it. If you were working with "12 point" type, the blocks were 12 points high. The letters varied in size depending on their style--a set of Cochin was smaller than a set of Palatino. If someone comes in and asks me for type a certain number of inches high, I either print it out, measure it and adjust as necessary, or I size it in a graphics program.
for (charCode = 'a'; charCode <= 'b'; charCode = charCode + 1)
Let's say your string is a variable called "string" To print out all the characters in order, you would do: for i in string: print(string[i]) If you wanted to print out characters up to a point (n = maximum characters): for i in range(n): print(string[i]) hope this helps!
You cannot do that. The main method of a java class is the point where the execution begins. You can print messages only after a main method is invoked.
There is no gotoxy statement in C.
#includeint main(){static int ROWS = 6;char ch;printf("Please enter an UPPERCASE letter:");scanf("%c",&ch);for( int row = 0; row < ROWS; ++row ){// Print padding.for( int column = 1; column < ROWS - row; ++column)printf(" ");// Print letters left of centre.for( int letter = row; letter >= 1; --letter)printf("%c", ch);// Print centre letter.printf("%c", ch);// print letters right of centre.for( int letter = row; letter >= 1; --letter)printf("%c", ch);printf("\n");}return( 0 );}
The BASIC computer command that calls letters and numbers up on a screen is the print command.
Yes you can.
int height; print("Enter height"); height=getString();
A font size point refers to a unit of measurement used to determine the size of fonts in print design. One point is equal to 1/72 of an inch. For example, a 12-point font would be 12/72 of an inch in height.
