This is a penny made by the US mint in 1898.

The US mint never made pennies like this. Plus without a date it is impossible to determine the value.
From their beginning in 1859, the Indian Head penny did not have any mint marks at all until 1908 and 1909 when the mint mark for San Francisco, California, "S", was placed on the reverse [tails] side of the coin beneath the wreath for the coins minted there.
A 1885 penny - aka Indian Head Cent in good condition (G4) is worth: $6.00; if its mint state is MS60, the value rises to: $200.
No Indian Head cent had a mintmark until 1908, so the 1898 cent will not have one.
Sorry no "N" mint marks on a Indian Head cent. But there is a "S" mint mark and that coin has retail values of $300.00-$900.00 for a circulated coin.
