The Voyager program was designed to study Jupiter and Saturn but was extended to study Uranus, Neptune, and the outer reaches of the solar system. The planetary alignment that allowed Voyager 2 to visit four planets was an opportunity that would not recur for 175 years.
Yes, it was very successful!
Very doubtful, NASA has no official plans for a Voyager 3 mission so far, and I doubt they ever will. If they ever do launch Voyager 3, it won't be for a while.
some time in the next month
Voyager 2 never went to Pluto. Given the positions of the planets in their orbits at the time, we could not send it on a trajectory to get there. Currently Voyager 2 is well beyond the orbit of Pluto and will soon enter interstellar space.
yes voyager 2 is a space probe
Voyager 1 never visited Neptune. Voyager 2 has. Voyager 2 is currently the only scientific instrument to do a fly-by of Neptune.
Voyager 2 is a space probe.
