There is no such thing as a "unit of electromagnetic". There are several units related to electricity, electromagnetic waves, etc., depending on exactly what aspect you want to measure. For example, in the case of electricity, there are units for voltage, current, intensity, power, frequency, and others.

Answer: Meters

Answer: A wavelength is a length, so the official SI unit would be the meter. SI prefixes can be used - thus, such wavelengths might be measured in kilometers, meters, micrometers (= microns), nanometers, etc.

Are radio waves the shiortest wavelength of all EM waves?

Radio waves have almost the lowest frequency of any electromagnetic wave, but as the frequency, f, is related to the wavelength, l , and the speed of light, c, by the equation:f=c/lthis means that they have one of the longest wavelengths of all electromagnetic waves. On most illustrations of the electromagnetic spectrum, you will see Radio waves shown as the lowest frequencies of all. In fact, there are lower frequencies called ELF (extremely low frequency) waves. The most commonly encountered ELF waves are those that result from 50/60Hz electricity power lines, with wavelengths of some 6000km.In principle, though, there is no reason to suppose that there is a longest possible wavelength wave on the electromagnetic spectrum - electromagnetic waves may exist that have wavelengths of the order of light years, for example.

What is the most important use for a spectroscope?

a spectroscope is used to measure light waves. It can measure lights intensity, wavelength, and it polarization.

How do various kinds of em waves differ from each other?

There are two main types of EM waves. Magnetic waves and Electronic waves. They exist at orthogonal relationships with M waves and E waves at 90 degrees to each other.

Which group of waves in the electromagnetic spectrum has the greatest penetrating power?

Those are the ones with the highest frequency/shortest wavelength/most energy per photon. Most . . . gamma rays Next most . . . X-rays . . . Least . . . low-frequency radio waves

How is wavelength measure?

A wavelength is a measure of the distance between two consecutive peaks (or troughs) of a wave. For electromagnetic radiation, the wavelengths range from 10^-11 to 10^3 metres - a factor of 100 trillion. There is, therefore, no single instrument which can be used to measure across such a range.

Which type of electromagnetic wave has a wavelength that is about 10m to 1000m long?

The type of electromagnetic radiation includes the wavelength of 10 up to the -7 m is visible light. The wavelike properties of electrons are useful in determining the velocity and position of a particle.

What is eletromagnetic spectrum?

The electromagnetic spectrum is the full range of known electromagnetic radiation, ranging from radio waves to gamma rays. Radio waves are at one end of the spectrum with the longest wavelength and the lowest frequency. Gamma rays at the other end have the shortest wavelength and the highest frequency. (frequency = wave oscillations per second) Most electromagnetic radiation can fall into one of the following categories: Radiowave Microwave Infrared Visible (light) Ultraviolet X-rays Gamma Rays [This list is in increasing order of frequency)
