The symbol (a superscript 2) is not available on general keyboards. These symbols should display in files using charsets ISO 8859-1 or UTF-8. For Windows operating systems, ensure the number lock is on , hold down the Alt key and using the numeric keypad type in 0178. The symbol 2 will appear in your document at the cursor position. Alternatively, use the 'Insert' menu heading and find symbols. A table will then be displayed in which you will find the 2 symbol. When you "enable" your number lock key, when you press the number buttons on the numeric keypad it will type numbers.
