Generally, not a serious problem. However, there are some circuits that would be affected.

A ground fault interrupt circuit (GFI) would not operate correctly and would persistently "TRIP". The circuit would be disconnected from power until this problem is corrected.

A GFI breaker or outlet works by detecting a very small current difference (usually 0.005 amperes) between the white (neutral) and the black (hot) wire. This condition would signal that there must be some current which is not returning to the neutral and therefore must be going to GROUND via an unintended sneak path. The path to GROUND could be YOU! When this occurs, the GFI device opens the circuit (trips) and you are protected.

So if you connect some ground wires to neutral, you are providing a "sneak" circuit which will trip these GFI devices, if any. It would be a good idea anyway to separate these wires in case some GFI devices are added in the future.

What color would the cabbage solution turn if you were testing a neutral substance?

If you were testing a neutral substance with cabbage juice, which contains anthocyanins, the solution would typically remain purple. This indicates a neutral pH, around 7, as the cabbage juice is sensitive to changes in acidity and alkalinity. In contrast, acidic solutions would turn it red, while basic solutions would shift it to green or yellow.
