Antique primitive wooden washboard. Vintage advertising washboard with hanging rail made around the 1910's by the National Washboard co. Constructed with a wooden frame and backing for the pressed aluminum body, this washboard retains its original brass and wood with towel rack. This model no 194 advertised the soap saver zinc laundry detergent which was meant to be used in conjunction with the washboard.

The National Washboard CO 11 was produced in the early 1800s. Development for the washboard took several years and was finally patented in 1833.
