What network is used in school network?

I assume you are talking about network topology. I have worked in several schools in a couple school districts. Some older school networks were setup on a token ring. I think it would be safe to assume that most networks are now a star topology using ethernet.

Personnel computer that is connected to a network is?

From a network topology perspective, a personal computer that is connected to the network is a node. From a software/OS perspective, this would be a network client, but personal computers can act as, or serve the role of, a server, but I think that is out of scope of the question.

What are disadvantages of using a star topology?

If the server dies, the computers get unseen for each other. It isn't a good idea in every situation to leave the whole network to only 1 computer, because if it ets an error, your network is dead.

How do you set up a star topology with 5 computers without NIC's?

Without NICs? A computer needs some sort of connection to the network! I don't think you can do it.The usual NIC is an Ethernet card or a wireless network card; neither of which should be very expensive. In the center of the star topology is either a hub or a switch. Better use a switch, if possible - it is more efficient.

Advantages of using star topology?

Advantages:* Good performance * Reliable (if one connection fails, it doesn't affect others)* Easy to replace, install or remove hosts or other devicesDisadvantages:* Expensive to install * Extra hardware required
