- It is then required, when the cord is thusly replaced, to establish the frame grounding link from the chassis to the neutral.
In the present case, the cord has a 10-50P male cord connector and the receptacle is a 10-50R receptacle device. These are standard NEMA configuration designations. ∙ 14y agoCheck them with a tester or look in the panel and see if the white goes to hot. If it is a 220 line and wired correctly, black and white are hot and bare is neutral, but without checking you can't know what someone else has done.
