Suppose the original price was Rs x per kilo.
At that price Lalita would have been able to buy 320/x kilos of rice for Rs 320.
The new price is 20% less , that is Rs 0.8x per kilo.
Now she is able to buy 320/0.8x = 400/x kilos.
So 400/x - 320/x = 5 kilos
Multiply by x: 400 - 320 = 5x
ie 5x = 80 so that x = 16.
The price was Rs 16 per kilo.
