Diameter.
The circumference is the distance around a circle and it is measured by:- Circumference of a circle = 2*pi*radius or pi*diameter
It is used in finding the circumference and area of a circle. Circumference = 2*pi*radius or pi*diameter measured in linear units Area = pi*radius2 measured in square units
== == Given that the circumference of the earth is 40,075.02 km (measured at the equator) the circumference in inches is roughly 1,577,756,664 inches.

7926 miles and 12760 km. Thats Pretty long.
Eratosthenes was the first to measure the Earth's circumference pretty acurately.
Its diameter and circumference are measured.
Earth's Circumference is 24,901 miles (40,075 km)

You can use the circumference of the pencil and the circumference formula to find the radius. Set the measured circumference equal to 2pi*radius and solve. I measured it to about .75 of an inch, so: .75=2pi*radius r=.75/2pi
Gloves are measured in length...Mitts (catchers) are measured in circumference. Companies like akadema offer mitts ranging from 31in to 34in circumference.
