A 6" x 6" piece of wood of the required length would need to be planed down to a dowel of 6" diameter. A 6" diameter dowel is not a standard size carried in DIY stores. A local woodworker/carpenter would be able to produce the dowel if you can't do it yourself.

What difficulties will you face by using a meter rod to measure the external diameter of a breaker?

Assuming it is a rod, the difficulty lies in that it can't measure the diameter of the beaker. Unless you were to attempt to find out the Radius/Diameter, then work out the circumference from that.

What is a dowel?

Adowel is a solid cylindrical rod, usually made of wood, plastic or metal. In its original manufactured form, dowel is called dowel rod.Dowel rod is employed in numerous, diverse applications. It is used to form axles in toys, as detents on gymnastics grips, as knitting needles and as structural reinforcement in cabinet making. Dowel rod is often cut into short lengths called dowel pins, which are used in various ways:As shelf supports in furniture.As moveable pieces (i.e., pegs) in games.As supports for hanging items such as keyrings and tools.To secure two objects together with precise alignment in a dowel joint: a hole is bored in both objects and the dowel pin is inserted into the aligned holes.

What is formula to calculate steel rod weight per inch?

Steel rod weight per inch.... this depends on the thickness and shape of the steel rod. The density of steel is around 500 pounds per cubit foot, so, for example: If the rod is cylindrical and has a diameter of 1/2 inch, each "inch" of the rod is a cylinder with length L=1. The volume of this cylinder is found with pi*r^2*L. Since diameter = .5in, radius = .25in. pi*.25^2*1 = about .2in^3 or 1/5 cubic inch. Now, a cubic inch is about 5.8*10^-4 cubic feet, so... 500lb/ft^3 * 5.8*10^-4 in^3/ft^3 = .28935 pounds per cubic inch. We have one fifth cubic inch, so multiply that by .2... and each inch of our rod weighs .05787 pounds, which is pretty much 3/50 pounds. Coincidentally, 3/50 of a pound is just about an ounce, so our cylindrical steel rod of diameter 1/2 inch pretty much weighs one ounce per inch!

Write a sentence with the word diameter?

How many cubic inches in a solid 16 inch diameter rod 1 inch long?

Volume = pi*r2*h = pi*82*1= 201 cubic inches, approx.

How do you find the length of a rod given the diameter and the mass?

You cannot, there is no single-rule, formulaic relationship between mass and physical measurements like length or diameter.

A sewer "rod" is normally no larger then 3/8 of an inch diameter BUT a SEWER Cable can be as large as 11\4" even the small sewer rods can have large heads to maintain sewers as large as 36"
