well, there are multiple answers since we are solving for x.

but i will do a basic, yet correct one.

you could put the parentheses around the 4 - 4x.

this will make the equation

16(4-4x) = 0.

when you divide 16 from both sides, it goes away. and you are left with

4 - 4x = 0.

then subtract 4 from both sides, and then divide both sides by -4.

you will be left with x = 1.

if you test it out

you will see that

16(4 - 4(1)) = 0 is a correct solution.
