The "biggest thing" is believed to be a Lyman alpha blob that measures approximately 200 million lightyears (about 2 sextillion kilometres, or) is located, again, several million lightyears away.

The largest whole object (the above is basically a giant cloud made of smaller galaxies) is probably VY Canis Majoris, a hypergiant star about 5000 lightyears from Earth. It is believed to be about 2,100 times the size of our Sun.
