It"s located on the rear manifold, between the firewall and the engine for the upper oxygen sensor(b1s1), and between the catalyst converter and the resonator for the second oxygen sensor (b1s2), between the pipe and the floor.
The Sensor is located right next to where the transmission meets with the engine under the passenger side floor board.
It is located on the same side as the rear break peg on the floor bored. At the rear/middle of the engine right next the the reverse sensor/cable.
The 1998 Pathfinder right rear oxygen sensor can be found in the cargo compartment. The oxygen sensor will be beneath the cargo floor, where the spare tire is housed.
Low gas milege is an indication of a bad oxygen sensor and/or it's wiring. A lack of power, increasing vibration in car's floor and cabin area(s), high RPM's at highway speeds.
The first O2 sensor is located under the hood in the exhaust. It is a simple matter of unplugging it and removing from the exhaust. The second O2 sensor is located under the car and the wire runs through the floor board and the connector is found under the carpet under the drivers seat. The drivers seat will have to be removed and the carpet pulled back to disconnect the O2 sensor wire. The car must then be jacked up the catalytic converter unbolted and pulled down to gain access to the O2 sensor.
1) Yes.2) No.Fuel injected:Most likely is the hesitation has another cause such as a bad TPS, MAF or MAP that has lead over time to oxygen sensor damage. With a bad oxygen sensor, your ECU has lost it's fuel learn parameters and made the hesitation problem worse.Carbureted:More likely is a minor leak inside the carburetor causing the hesitation and this may have also caused damage to the oxygen sensor. Rebuild the carburetor and replace the oxygen sensor at the same time.Answeryes and no... the purpose of the O2 sensor is to monitor the exhaust gasses to ensure that the exhaust is within tolerance of federal regulations (to make sure you're not polluting). On later model vehicles, the O2 sensor plays a part in controlling your fuel/air ratio, depending on what the O2 sensor sees, it can make the engine run rich, giving you more power in some cases, but trying to flood the engine when you floor the pedal. Which sounds like the problem in your case.if your 02 sensors are bad your check engine light would be on.
the sensor is located in the exhaust, downstream front the catalytic converter. the connector for the sensor in under the carpet on the passenger front floor near the center dash area.
Its under the center console below the radio and little cubby bolted to the floor....
If you are talking about the accelerator travel sensor it is part of the gas pedal. It has two bolts that mounted to the floor you replace the panel and all it is one unit
the engine control module (ecm) is located behind the passanger kick pannel. which is located by the floor, passanger side.
It is located on console near the floor of the passenger side.
