where is the shifting modular on a86 olds
Get a hammer, and break it
... in what way?
The Olds Pinto trumpet was a modular trumpet from the Olds factory. Modular because the idea was you could just replace parts if they got damaged. It featured a plastic coated valve set. Although ugly in style the Pinto actually plays ok, but not up to the standard of other Olds Trumpets and therefore was unpopular with the public. It remains unpopular with collectors these days and they are frequently traded on ebay for $100 or so.
I have an 86 and it has the A200R4 trans. If you have an overdrive position on your shifting column then that is what you have, if you only have a 3 speed then you probably have a turbo 350.
It is located in the oil pan on the botom side of the engine.
Could be the catalytic converter.
