A sphere is a three-dimensional shape with one surface.
Or:
An irregular blob, an ellipsoid, a torus, plus other shapes.
The most interesting 3D object with only one side is of course the Moebus strip.
A solid sphere.
A hollow sphere technically has two surfaces as there is one inside.

An eight-faced 3D shape is called an octahedron. Any 3D shape (polyhedron) ends in -hedron, just like any 2D shape (polygon) ends in -gon, and octa- means 8.
The atomic sphere.
its the symetry of the shape in the which the petals are placed and open with a 3d dimension !
what is the shape of the sun? the shape of the sun is a 3d shape and it is a sphere.

A 2D shape is flat and only has a surface area whereas a 3D shape is an object that has surface area and volume.
That will depend on what they are but in general 3D shapes have surface area and volume whereas 2D shapes have only surface area.

A pentagon is a 2D shape. Volume and Surface Area is only found in 3D shapes.
There can be no closed 3D shape with only one square and 3 triangles.

Only one; a triangle is a 2D shape, not a 3D shape. Usually only 3D (or more) shapes are considered to have 'faces'.
