Generally, a fatty acid consists of a straight chain of an even number of carbon atoms, with hydrogen atoms along the length of the chain and at one end of the chain and a carboxyl group (―COOH) at the other end. It is that carboxyl group that makes it an acid (carboxylic acid).

What is the end product of fat digestion?

The end products of fat digestion are fatty acids and glycerol.

How can a polypeptide have both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties?

Many organic molecules have an end that will dissolve in fat (this would be the hydrophobic end) and an end that will dissolve in water (this will be the hydrophilic end). As the ends are joined together by the rest of the molecule, the molecule has both properties at once and such molecules are frequently used in the formation of organic membranes.

What is a simple fat molecule that is composed of a simple sugar?

A simple fat molecule is composed of glycerol which is a simple sugar and 3 fatty acids, which are also chains of carbon and hydrogen with a carboxyl group at one end.

Why is molecule polar?

If you mean "Why is a molecule polarized" it would be because there is a more negative charge to one end of the molecule than the other.

What is animal fat class inorganic or organic?

Butter is an organic molecule, more specifically a fatty acid hydrocarbon. It is formed from long chains of carbon molecules with attached hydrogen atoms; on one end of the chain it is typically linked into a triglyceride molecule and on the other end there tends to be a hydroxyl group.

A molecule that has a negative and poositve end is?

A molecule that has a negative and positive end is a polar molecule.

How are water molecules like magnets?

water molecules are polar (there is an unequal charge around the molecule) The oxygen end of the water molecule is negatively charged and the hydrogen ends of the water molecule is positively charged. thus, the oxygen will attract positive atoms and the hydrogens will attact negative atoms
