Human, I would imagine. There is only one case in Genesis - where Abraham was called by God to sacrifice his son, Isaac. However, at the moment of slaughter, God called on Abraham to spare his son and slaughter a ram which was now conveniently trapped in a bush nearby. Abraham happily did so.
