Why aren't the planes you download for Flight Simulator X appearing in your Plane Select screen?

Make sure you installed the planes to the right directory!
If you have, try using the dropdown menu at the top of the Select Planes screen to choose "Uncopyrighted Planes"

This had me stumped for a while too. Click on the Vista medallion in the lower left corner of your screen. In the white on black menu box you will see: Documents, Pictures, Music, Games. Select Games and Flight Simulator X should be one of your options. Click it then responde to the menu prompts.
