Because when you add up the measures of all 3 angles inside a triangle,
they ALWAYS add up to exactly 180 degrees. In every triangle.

-- If there were 2 right angles, then those two alone would add up to 180 degrees,
even before you look at the third angle. Impossible.

-- If there were two obtuse angles, then those two alone would add up to more than 180 degrees ...
already impossible ... even without the third angle. Double impossible.

What kind of triangle is a triangle which contains one obtuse angle?

any triangle can contain at most 1 obtuse angle. it is called an obtuse triangle.

Which triangle has two acute angles and one obtuse angle?

If you are classifying triangles by their angles, an obtuse triangle has one obtuse angle and two acute angles. A triangle can have at most one obtuse angle. If the two acute angles are congruent, the triangle would also be isosceles.

How many obtuse angles in a triangle?

A triangle can have at most one obtuse angle, but triangles do not necessarily have any obtuse angles.

Which figure can have the most one obtuse angle?

A scalene triangle.

Use obtuse triangle in a sentence?

In an obtuse triangle, one angle is obtuse and the other two are acute. "The buildings are arranged in an obtuse triangle and occupy most of the long, thin parcel of land."

Can a scalene triangle have an obtuse angle?

Yup, it sure can! It is the triangle that is most seen to have an obtuse angle unlike the isosceles or equilateral. These triangles are more seen to have acute angles.

Do triangles have at least 2 acute angles?

Yes. The sum of the angles in a triangle is 180° All angles in a triangle must be greater than 0° which means that the sum of any two angles must be less than 180° If two angles are right angles (90°), their sum is 180° which is not less than 180°; thus at most one angle can be a right angle. If one angle is a right angle and another is an obtuse angle (greater than 90°), then their sum is greater than 180°, which is not less than 180°; thus there can be at most one of a right angle and an obtuse angle. If two angles are obtuse angles, their sum is greater than 180°, which is not less than 180°; thus there can be at most one obtuse angle. If there is at most one right angle or an obtuse angle, there must be at least two acute angles.

What shapes contain obtuse angles?

The most notable is a triangle, but every polygon can have an obtuse angle. An obtuse angle is anything measuring greater than 90 degrees.

How many angles does a right triangle have?

A right triangle has only one right angle (a 90 degree angle), by definition. The sum of the other two angles equals 90 degrees, so the sum of all three angles is 180 degrees. Every triangle, right triangle or not, has three angles whose sum is 180 degrees.A right angle triangle has only 1 right angle which measures 90 degrees
