∙ 7y agoFor any arithmetic operation, the number of significant digits in the operands determines the maximum number of significant digits in te answer. There is no point in trying to calculate a highly precise answer if your operands cannot justify it. For example, if you are using pi = 3.14, (3 sf) then there is no point in measuring the radius of a circle to 7 sf and giving its area to 10 sf.
The lateral surface area (the curved part in three dimensions) of such a cylinder is 5 X(pi) X 7 = 1.1 X 102 square inches to the justified number of significant digits. Each of the upper and lower bases of the cylinder has an area of pi X (5/2)2 = 20 square inches, to the justified number of significant digits. Therefore the total surface area including both bases is 1.5 X 102 square inches.
If each section has an area of 100 square feet, the area of the entire garden is 300 square feet.
92(pi) = about 254 square meters, if the "9" is considered exact, or 3 X 102 square meters, to the otherwise justified number of significant digits.
The area of a circle of radius 12 is 144 pi; the part of the circle defined by such an arc (the arc itself, of course, has an area of 0) is 100/360 of that, which simplifies to 40 pi. To 3 significant digits, that is 126.
3 significant figures. The rule is that the number of digits in your answer should not exceed the lowest number of digits of all the values used to derive the answer.

If the disk is circular, the area of one circular face is 112.72 X pi = 3.990 X 104 square kilometers, to the justified number of significant digits.

The area of Baldha Garden is 12,747.59773056 square meters.
The area of Lurie Garden is 20,234.282112 square meters.
The area of Garden of the Gods is 13.355 square kilometers.
The area of Kahanu Garden is 12,140.5692672 square meters.
The area of Oregon Garden is 323,748.513792 square meters.
I assume this is a circular measurement. The area of a circle is determined by pi x r squared. If the diameter is 14 inches, the radius is half of that (7 inches). A = pi x r 2 A = 3.14 x 7 2 A = 3.14 x 49 A = 153.86 inches 2. (Area is always in squared units.) If your math level has covered significant digits, re-read the question for significant digits. Two significant digits (as could be determined by the way you worded your question - "14") would give a different answer. Scientific notation would be necessary in your answer. 153.86 inches would have to been written as: A = 1.5 x 10 2 inches2
A cube has six sides. Each one is a square. In this instance, the square has a side length of 5 cm and therefore an area of 25 square cm. 25 X 6 =150 square cm. (This answer has more significant digits than are justified by the side length stated with only one significant digit, but it may have been intended to be an integer and therefore to have as many significant digits as needed.)125. studyisland.
The instructional area in a garden is an area that requires some improvement. This may be the lawn or the patio area of the home garden.
