Prim symbolizes strength: she's young when her father dies, she sees starving families in the Seam, she saw her older sister go through the Hunger Games, also she was chosen for the reaping at the age of 12. She even raises her own goat to help provide for her family. During all of this she stays strong and keeps moving forward with life. She is a strong, young woman who is going through a lot in life.
