There not too much math involved. The only thing you need to be able to do is read the numbers on an altimeter. Fortunately, the altimeter face looks like a clock so it should be familiar to most people. Choosing altitudes can use some minimal math skills. For example; you want to make a ten second free fall and you know that the drop zone wants you to open at three thousand feet. In ten seconds you will fall 1,138 feet, so you would have to jump at 4,200 feet or higher to open at an appropriate altitude.

What are ideal weather conditions for skydiving?

The most important weather conditions to be aware of for skydiving are the wind conditions. The most ideal wind conditions for skydiving are low to moderate winds. Also, the sky needs to be clear or low in clouds so the skydivers are able to clearly see the ground. Thunderstorms can be very dangerous for skydivers as well because they are accompanied by unpredictable winds.
