Use this conversion: pounds x 453.9 = grams
it depends on what your measuring if you want mass use grams if you want weight use Newtons or pounds if you want vollume use liters or pints ect. but for what i think your doing you would use either milliliters or centameters
There is no inherent preference in the use of "English" measurements - miles and pounds - to "SI" ("Systeme Internationale") measurements - meters and grams - other than that the use of SI measurements made the calculations easier, back in the days before computers. Now with computers, there is nothing to argue for either way.
It depends. Very small amounts of things are measured in grams, a bit larger is ounces, larger is pounds, and the largest is tons, which is 2,000 pounds.
If you divide 195 pounds by 2.2, you could convert it into kilograms. So 195 pounds is equal to 88.45kg. The standard acceleration due to gravity on Earth's surface is approximately 9.807(meters per second squared). And the mass here is 88.45kg. Now you can use the formula F=ma So, F=(88.45kg) x (9.807(meters per second squared)) Then F= 867.4 (kilogram meters per second squared-which is the same as Newtons) So F= 867.4N (Newtons) Hope that wasn't confusing. I tried to make it as straightforward as possible.
Pounds
Newtons or Pounds... Newtons is more common.
To convert grams (g) to Newtons (N), you need to use the formula: 1 Newton (N) = 1,000 grams (g) So, to convert 80 grams to Newtons: 80 grams * (1 Newton / 1,000 grams) = 0.08 Newtons Therefore, 80 grams is equal to 0.08 Newtons.
Use this conversion: pounds x 453.9 = grams
Newtons (N) or Pounds (lbs)
Using the metric system, grams would be best.If using the imperial system, ounces would be fine.
Weight for elephants could be measured in tons or pounds. For metric, weight is measured in newtons. For mass, you can use kilograms or tonnes (metric ton equal to 1000 kg). Pounds mass is possible, too.
To convert from pounds to grams, use this formula: pounds x 453.6 = grams5.62 lbs x 453.6 = about 2,549.232 grams
Weight in a scientific form is measured in Newtons (N). Which is derived from the equation F=ma. Mass in the other hand is in more common use to most people and is usually measured in Kilogrammes (Kg) or Pounds (lbs), or stones and pounds (st & lb).
grams* * * * * No. Grams are a measure of mass not weight. Weight is measured in Newtons or, in this case, millinewtons.
The pound.force, or in the SI system the Newton (1 pound.force = 4.48 Newtons)
