Coins are denser than water. Styrofoam is less dense than water.
You could use a wooden block, a Styrofoam cone, a birthday party hat... anything like that.
An ellipse is the proper name for an oval shape, however, a circle is a closed curved shape similar to an oval shape.
Similar polygons have congruent angles and the same shape (but not necessarily the same size). Since the shape of a square and a rectangle is different from the shape of a trapezoid, they are not similar to it.
A shape is said to be self-similar if it will map onto an enlargement of a part of itself.
Similar.
Because a coin is more dense than water, while styrofoam is not.
The coin has a greater density than water. Styrofoam has less density than water. It's as simple as that.
Buy pieces of styrofoam. Then, you stick the base in styrofoam. Next, you measure the length of the first piece and the length of the shape of the toothpicks. You may put some vertical on the horizontal toothpicks. Cut off the top of the toothpicks, and put glue on them. If you just poke the next piece of the styrofoam on, you wouldn't be using the glue. Make sure the length of the styrofoam is slightly bigger than the shape of the toothpicks. Glue the styrofoam on. Lastly, do it over and over again until reached height desired. You will need • pieces of styrofoam • Over 100 pieces of toothpicks • Elmer's Glue-All glue
I have never heard that idea. It must be unique. I would say take a large piece of styrofoam and cut it into the shape you want, but they do sell gelled wigs that work well too.

A pepper floats higher than an apple because of its shape and lighter weight.
It's probably not the best use for styrofoam because it wouldn't be too strong in the shape of a keyring. It has better uses when it is in big blocks.

The shape of an object needs to be such that the overall density of the object is less than that of the medium in which it is placed
