The Eiffel Tower in Paris is 300m high and is made of steel. Between Summer and Winter its height changes by as much as 7.5cm. This is because in: a) SUMMER, due to the heat the attractive forces become slower and unable to hold the molecules at the correct places so we get shorter. b)WINTER, the opposite process to the above takes place in Winter and is known as contraction. Notice than in hot, Summer sunny days, due to the same phenomenon, the side of the tower exposed to the sun shows some dilatation; owing to that dilatation following the course of the sun, the Eiffel tower summit looks smaller a it but its just us getting taller.
Metal will expand when warm in summer. So the Eiffel Tower will grow taller in summer, and become smaller in winter.

The Eiffel Tower is very slightly (i.e., mere centimeters) taller during the summer than during the winter. The reason for this is due to thermal expansion. During the summer, the structure is heated by the sun for more hours during the day, and the warm air of the summer makes it harder for the tower to stay as cool as it gets in the winter. Therefore, the molecules in the structure expand, causing the entire tower to grow by a few centimeters.
When the Eiffel tower is heated, it expands and becomes wide and taller, but not so much. This will increase the size of the Eiffel tower. It will decrease when it is in Winter.
The heat from the Sun causes the metal framework of the tower to expand slightly. The same happens to any exposed metal structure - including bridges. That's why bridges have an 'expansion gap' at each end.

Because the Eiffel tower is made of steel. So during May the sun shines brighter and the steel expands. So it means that technically the Eiffel tower GREW. And it shrinks in December cause it's cold.

The Eiffel Tower construction started in the Summer of 1887, and finished in the early Spring of 1889. The Eiffel Tower opened on May 6th 1889.
