It's a convenient standard for bridge circuits. Also, it allows the instrumentation mechanic to know if a sensor circuit is open, because that channel will read 0ma instead of the lower limit of 4ma.
There is no direct relationship between the range and the median. So knowing that your median is 20 does not automatically give you the range. The median is just the middle value. That does not tell you what the first and last values are, which is what you need to know to find the range. The median of 19, 20 and 21 is 20, and the range is 2. The median of 4, 20 and 79 is also 20, but the range is 75. The median of 8, 16, 17, 23, 50 and 320 is also 20, but the range is 312. So, as you can see, the Median in no way can tell you what the range will be. You need to know what all of the numbers are, or at least the lowest and highest to know the range.
The range is 80 minus 20 = 60
The range of an instrument or any type of equipment are the ultimate limits for which it has been designed / constructed. A part of the measuring range is normally indicated as the span which complies with the calibrated standard output. The span is always smaller or equal to the range. For exampe a pressure transmitter range of 0 to 100 barg can be calibrated to measure a span of 20 - 80 barg and so the span is 60 barg. Note that the range still determines the accuracy !
1,2,3,4,20 20 is the outlier range

QUESTION;why 20 degree centigrade writtenon measuring cylinder? ANSWER: Measuring cylinder. 20 degree centigrade is written on the measuring cylinder because every instrument having a particular temprature where that equipment is kept and work on it measuring cylinder having 20 degree C on it beacause it is the accurate temprature of measuring cylinder and in this tepmrature working on measuring cylinder is possible.
4 < x < 20
liquid has deferent density at deferent temperature and so deferent volume 20 degree Centigrade is written on measuring mean that this cylinder will give accurate volume at 20 degree centigrade
20 yards
The range humans can hear is about 20 - 20,000 Hz (20 Hz to 20 kHz); the range is smaller for older people.
