this is due to effect of sin2(theta). as sin2(theta) will repeat its value for =90-theta

as here

theta=30 so

for 90-30=60

sin2(30)=sin2(60)

so for pair of projection angles of two projectiles as(theta,90-theta) , they will have same ranges

i.e

theta=10

and 90-10=80

sin2(10)=sin2(80)

How is a drgree of longitude or latitude further subdivided?

Each degree is divided into 60 minutes, and each minute is divided into 60 seconds. While the distance represented by a degree of longitude can vary with the latitude, each degree of latitude (north and south) is equal to 60 nautical miles, so one minute of latitude is equal to 1 nautical mile. (About 1.15 statute miles) One nautical mile is equal to 2026 yards, so one second of latitude is equal to 33.8 feet.

What is the distance in miles from the Equator to Aruba?

Aruba is about 863 miles [1,389 kilometers; 750 nautical miles] from the Equator.Aruba's latitude is 12 degrees 30 minutes North latitude. One degree of latitude is equal to about 69 miles [60 nautical miles]. There are 60 minutes in one degree of latitude. The formula to figure the distance is 12.5 x 69 miles [60 nautical miles]. The result is 863 miles [750 nautical miles].
