Abel proved, at the age of 19 mind you, that there is no general algebraic solution to polynomial equations of degree 5 or higher, as opposed to say, the quadratic equation for a 2nd degree polynomial. At that time, that was one of the biggest unsolved problems in math, so as you might imagine, proving it was a big deal. However, as it turns out, the far more important result from this proof was that Abel had to invent the algebraic subfield known as group theory to complete it, and group theory provides the current mathematical basis to our model of fundamental particles and forces, known as the standard model.
I guess not. Niels Bohr created the Bohr model and the element named after him is bohrium. That's why he's so famous?
yeah, i believe so. And it's "Neil Armstrong" not "niels armstrong"
Probably so.....................
A:According to the Book of Genesis, Cain and Abel wewre the first two people to be born on earth, which is probably reason enough to be famous. They are also famous as the characters in a story about how to please God, a story in which Cain murders Abel. Abel knew that God would be pleased by a sacrifice of tender meat, so his offering was a young lamb. God was so pleased with this offering that Cain could not fail to notice. Cain only offered the grain that he, as a farmer, grew, and this displeased God. Rather than placating and encouraging Cain, who was hurt by the rejection of his offering, God scolded him for showing his feelings. Cain rose up and murdered Abel, but this was incidental to the story which was really about how to please God. The story establishes that the very best meat must be sacrificed and shared with the priests.
Not as i have ever heard ofThere is a Swede by the name of Henrik Lundqvist, however, who is the goalie for the New York Rangers hockey team. He has, through his accomplishments over the years, including an Olympic gold medal and three Vezina nominations, earned the name "King Henrik". So there may not have been a King Henrik ofSweden, but there is a King Henrik from Sweden.
He discovered New Zealand.
God knew Cain had killed Abel, so he asked Cain where was his brother Abel. And he replied Am I my brothers keeper.
The german soldiers came to uncle henrik’s house because they saw that a lot of people were going to his house, so they were suspicious and thought that there were jews in a hideout.
He discovered New Zealand. So, no.
Cain was the first born of Adam and Eve. He killed his brother Abel. So, Noah, who was born about 1000 years after, didn't have any business with Cain and Abel. Hope this helps. C.
Well, not many people know the answer for sure. But Adam and Eve were the people on Earth and their sons were Cain and Abel. Cain killed Abel becasue he was jealous. So I would probably guess that Abel was the first to die.
