Larger

A vector can never be longer than either of its components. If v is the length of the vector and the components are i and j, then v2 = i2 + j2. Put another way, v = the square root of (i2 =+ j2).

You can probably see that if i = 0 then v will equal j; if i is > 0 then v must be > than j.

Will a vector at 45 degrees to he horizontal be larger or smaller than its horizontal and vertical components?

A vector at 45 degrees to the horizontal will always be larger than its two components because the two smaller components always combine together in order to equal the Vector.

How does the angle of release affect the motion of a projectile both vertical and horizontal?

Smaller angles will result in a larger horizontal velocity and smaller vertical velocity. The times of flight will also be shorter since it's closer to the ground. Larger angles have a larger vertical velocity and smaller horizontal velocity. Time of flight will be much longer since it is higher above the ground. As for distance, 45 degrees will result in the greatest distance and for every distance before the furthest one there is an angle above 45 degrees and an angle below 45 degrees that will result in that distance.

In degrees of intensity you have to go larger to smaller?

Why do the vertical solar rays produce more heat?

Because vertical solar rays are less oblique during Sumner and are concentrated over smaller areas

What are some hard math words?

circumference is the outside of a circle. perpendicular is a horizontal line which touches a vertical line. verticy is the corner of a shape. segment is a small part of a circle. arch is a small part of the circumference. acute is an angle smaller than 90 degrees. obtuse is a angle larger than 180 degrees.

How are oblique rays different from vertical rays?

Obviously the angle of incidence is different. The oblique rays spread their energy over a larger area of the surface than vertical (also called perpendicular or normal rays)
