I guess the first question is...What is it leaking? If it is coolant, then the heater core is the correct answer. If it's water, like when it rains or you are washing the car, then the area under the vent screen, under the wipers has probably separated and would need to be re-sealed. I have not had the problem on my '88 convert., but have had it on my '68. It doesn't take much make it seem like a lot of water. Good luck. Sounds like a bad heater core

The heater inlet hose is on the firewall. On the 2002 Silverado it is close to the bottom of the firewall on the passenger side.
The heater fan relay switch can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The relay switch will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
The heater core is on the passanger side, located behind the bower motor housing on the firewall. If the car doesn't have AC it is not a difficult project. Remove the heater hoses from the firewall and then remove the screws that attach the cover to the firewall. The heater core rests inside.
You can access the heater core from the passenger side kick plate in your 1964 Chevrolet Corvette. Remove the heater core water supply hoses. Remove the heater core retaining bolts. The heater core will come out.
