follow the top radiator hose to the engine
thermostat first, then gasket then thermostat housing cover. I'm having trouble getting mine to seal properly. any help would be wonderful
is this just a sensor on the thermostat housing. Trouble code P0217 means:Engine overtemp condition
They may be giving you poor reference try contacting the housing athority for help.
follow the upper radiator hose to the thermostat housing and remove the 2 or 3 bolts holding it on and make sure you scrape off the gasket because if you dont and you put the new gasket on it will give yo u a world of trouble

Are you sure it isn't the hose leaking AT the thermostat housing? If the car ever overheated on you, there may be a warped head. If so, you're in a BIT of trouble. Let a mechanic look at it. A consultation should cost you little or nothing.

When this has happened to me for thing to check or get checked is the thermostat, If this is broken or not working properely your car will over heat and can not cool itself. Go to a local Auto Parts store and get a new thermostat and if your having trouble finding it or putting it in they might be able to help.
