- Sew a folded down edge from the top. The result should make the edge smooth without any jagged lines. Do this on both squares. Put one on top of the other, such that the top edges are adjacent, the folded edges on the outside. You should now sew the squares together, on the remaining edges. Place the line of sewing half an inch from the outer edge.
- Take the pocket you just made and pull it inside out. Take your finger and softly push it so that the corners come out. Pick one of the open edges and cut a hole that measures out to be slightly larger than that of the button you bought earlier. Sew the button to the inside of the other edge, making a great opportunity to fasten your shoe cover.
