4.0*104
7.3 × 104
When you have decimals you times them buy 100 to get the percent so .5 equals 50% and .05 equals 5% and .005 equals .5%
10-4 = 1/104 = 0.0001 = 1/10000
You have to isolate your variable to one side of the equation. Add, subtract, multiply, and divide when necessary. Sometimes you will get an approximate answer. This means you cant show all of the decimals. For exmaple lets say your variables equals 1/3. Well you cant possibly write 3 infinite because 1/3=0.333 (with infinite 3s). So you write approximately equal to 0.333 Also when you have a variable that is equal to pi (3.14159... etc) you cant possibly write the infinite amount of decimals for this so you write 3 or 4 decimals and then make sure you indicate it is approximate and not equal.
10 percent = 0.1
32 percent is 0.32
1.23 = 123 %
69 = 6,900% (multiply decimals by 100 to get percent).
0.963 = 96.3% (multiply decimals by 100 to get the percent).
81% as a decimal is 0.81
Expressed as a decimal fraction, 215 percent is equal to 2.15.
(6-1/2)% = 0.065
Hi We are studying decimals in my class to write decimals you read the number and after and you put a dot a write the other number * * * * * That's as maybe but it does not answer the question. The correct answer isc 42.7% = 0.427
Multiply decimals by 100. Example, 15 as a percent is 15 x 100 = 1,500%
71 percent of 104 percent = 73.84% 0.71 * 104% = 73.84%
345% = 3.45 as a decimal. And there is really no simplest form for decimals.
