1/3, 2/6, and 4/12
Fractions and integers can be equivalent, but they are different things. An integer can be written as a fraction (7 = 7/1 or 21/3) but in its simplified form it is not a fraction.
Equivalent fractions are fractions that have the same value as another fraction.
0.25 = 1/4 = 2/8 = 3/12 = 4/16
1) Convert the fractions to equivalent fractions, to ensure they have the same denominator. 2) Once they have the same denominator, just add or subtract the numerators. 3) As with most problems with fractions, check whether you can simplify the final result.
equivalent fractions of 1/3: 2/6, 3/92 equivalent fractions for 1 over 3 = 2/6, 3/9
fractions which are equivalent to 3/9 = 1/3, 2/6
Two equivalent fractions for 6/18 are 3/9 and 1/3.
-2/3 is not equivalent.
if it's fractions then it's 3/3, 1/1 and 6/6
equivalent fractions of 622 = 622/1, 1244/2, 1866/3, ...
equivalent fractions for 16 = 16/1, 32/2, 48/3
fractions equivalent for 12 = 12/1, 24/2, 36/3,...
Equivalent fractions are multiples of the reduced fraction. -4/4 reduces to -1, so equivalent fractions would be -1/1, -2/2, -3/3, etc.
It's easier to compare 1/3 and 1/4 when you convert them to the equivalent fractions 4/12 and 3/12
Equivalent fractions are fractions that have the same value.For example:3/15= 2/10= 1/5 The fractions below are all equivalent.
1/1 : 2/2 : 55/55 are 3 examples of fractions equivalent to 1 (1 being the whole of the fraction).
