There are infinitely many possible values. Let 0 < W < sqrt(76) and let L =76/W then L*W = (76/W)*W =76.

And since the choice of W was arbitrary, there are infinitely many possible values.

Assuming you mean a rectangle, the area is equal to lw. That means you can choose ANY positive value for "l", then divide the area by "l" to get the corresponding value for "w".

What about if they tell you the width and the area of the rectangle?

The area of a rectangle is calculated by the formula: A = lw (area = length times width). If you know any two of those values, you can insert those values in the formula and calculate the third one.

What is the base and height of a rectangle with an area of 224 square feet?

A = 224 ft^2 A = lw substitute the given value for A: 224 = lw In order to find the possible values for l and w, you should find all the factors of 224. Factors of 224 are 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 14, 16, 28, 32, 56, 112, and 224. Thus, all possible solutions for l,w are 1, 224; 2,112; 4, 56; 7, 32; 8, 28; and 14, 16.

How do you find the height of a rectangular prism given surface area length and width?

Re-arrange this equation: L=length W=width H=height S=surface area S = 2(LW+HW+HL) S/2 = LW+HW+HL (S/2) - LW = HW+HL (S/2) - LW = H(W+L) ((S/2) - LW)/(W+l) = H

What is the surface area of a rectangular prism that is 6 inches long 8 inches wide and 2 inches high?

To find the total surface area of a prism you add the lateral area and the areas of the two congruent bases. The formula is:Surface area = L.A. + 2B, where B is the area of the base.S.A. = L.A. + 2BSince the L.A. = 2(lh + hw) added to the area of the two bases, 2B = 2lw, another formula for the surface area can be S.A. =2(lh + hw + lw).By substituting the given values, l = 6 in, h = 2 in, and w = 8 in, in the surface area formula we have:S.A. = 2(lh + hw + lw)S.A. = 2[(6)(2) + (2)(8) + (6)(8)] = 2(12 + 16 + 48) = 2(76)S.A. = 152Thus, the surface area of the prism is 152 square inches.
