If the first derivative of a function is greater than 0 on an interval, then the function is increasing on that interval. If the first derivative of a function is less than 0 on an interval, then the function is decreasing on that interval.
If the second derivative of a function is greater than 0 on an interval, then the function is concave up on that interval. If the second derivative of a function is less than 0 on an interval, then the function is concave down on that interval.
It would be a false concept since e is not rational.
A domain is the x value or values of a set of points of a graph. do not repeat them. It should be written in the following fashion... d={enter x values here with commas between each} The concept of the domain of a function applies not just in algebra, but most areas of mathematics.
There are so many things that make up mathematics concept. This includes mathematical terms and theorems among other things.
Reverend Thomas Malthus developed the concept of Exponential Growth (another name for this is Malthusian growth model.) However the mathematical Exponent function was already know, but not applied to population growth and growth constraints. Exponential Decay is a natural extension of Exponential Growth
240 is not an equation and so the concept of solutions is meaningless.
"key concept" is not a mathematical term . A key concept is an important idea. Two key concepts in math are derivatives and integrals of functions. ( "function" is also a key concept.)
Using different instruction methods and learning activities to teach a concept. Ideas may be using flash cards to learn vocabulary, using a deck of playing cards to call on students to answer questions, using internet web sites as an instructional aid, etc.
Marketing is both a philosophy and a function !! Marketing can be used as a function for a business to sell its products but it is also a philosophy, infact there are 5 marketing management philosophies or concepts which organisations use to design and carry out their marketing startegies. Namely, Production concept, product concept, selling concept, marketing concept and societal-marketing concept.
me dont no ! :DD
Short answer: They're similar, but Calculus AB covers a bit more (and goes more in-depth) than Calculus 1. Long answer: The AP Calculus AB test covers differentiation (taking derivatives) and early integration (taking antiderivatives), including the concept/applications of an integral and integration by substitution. In college, Calculus 1 covers mostly differentiation and Calculus 2 covers additional strategies for integration and series. I like to think of it like this: A = Differentiation B = Integration C = Series So Calculus AB covers differentiation and integration and Calculus BC covers integration and series. College is more like: Calc 1 = A Calc 2 = B&C Of course, this depends on how much you cover in high school and college.
